Co-President: Priyanka Gera, Class of 2026
Priyanka is an MS4 from Long Island, NY. She is an avid reader—currently engaged in the “Before the coffee gets cold” trilogy. When there isn’t a book in her hands, she is happily spoiling her 2-year old Maltese with treats and fashionable clothes. Having served as a school newspaper editor for the past decade, she is excited to continue making the HONYMC team great as Co-President after previously serving as Lead Editor.
Co-President: Ivan Dominguez, Class of 2026
Ivan is a 4th year medical student from Oxnard, CA who played drums in bands around Brooklyn and worked as a medical photographer/videographer before coming to medical school. He worked as part of the film crew that documented three different face transplants conducted at NYU Langone Health. He hopes to work as a child/adolescent psychiatrist in a community setting. When not found in the library, he can be found walking around nature with a camera in hand.
Photographer: Zoë Volney, Class of 2028
Zoë is a 1st year medical student who decided “I don’t have enough to do. Let’s take photos of people.” Jokes aside, instructing others to “move your leg an inch to the right– no, your other right” as opposed to taking photos of animals whose pose changed the movement the camera focused was a new experience. Zoë changed her perspective from “take the photo fast” to “take the photo well.” Zoë believes now that there is objectively a good and a bad photo. The former being a photo that represents the essence of an individual and the latter being one that does not.
Treasurer: Jesse Tyler Buchman, Class of 2026
Jesse in an MS3 student born and raised in Toronto, ON, Canada. He loves the outdoors and is always looking for new adventures. Jesse is an avid water skier in the summertime and snowmobiler in the wintertime! In addition, Jesse also has a love for history, specifically surrounding maritime events and famous ship disasters such as the Titanic. Having always had a keen interest in the life stories of others, Jesse is excited to take on the role of Treasurer as part of the HoNYMC team.
